Original era manufacture. A nice example of a bayonet which was originally produced with a 16 inch blade, then modified, and cut-down to 10 inch length during the early days of WWII. The blade displays a mix of dark parkerized finish with a steel patina finish to the cutting edge. Visible service sharpening, UC 1942 on the reverse ricasso, PAL-MOD on the obverse ricasso. Very sound black plastic grips. Dark parkerized finish to the guard and pommel, with an operable lock button. Original GI scabbard with the Ordnance Bomb proof on the throat, now with a GI OD green overpaint.
