Original period manufacture. Light OD khaki canvas construction, complete with its meatcan pouch attached to the flap, and pack extender. The original markings are quite clear, Boyt 43 on the pack, J.W. Johnson Co. 1941 on the extender. All of the metal fittings are present, and the canvas is free of dry-rot, the original owners initial and last four digits of his service number are partially blacked out.Pretty much storage wear only, some light scattered staining, near zero corrosion on the metal fittings; in short, a darn near brand new WWII knapsack.
