Original era manufacture. Exhibiting pretty much storage wear only, is this M1943 US folding shovel and 2nd pattern cover. The shovel is maker marked WOOD and is dated 1945. Nearly all of the original factory paint remains on the blade and handle, with just some minor surface wear on the blade edge, and end of the handle. Unmarked, dark OD canvas carrier with an adjustable reverse, showing light OD trim.
