Original era manufacture. US Army folding shovel, greatly influenced by the German example encountered in North Africa. Maker marked and dated AMES 1943. Dark OD canvas carrier with an adjustable belt hook. Maker marked and dated Tulsa Canvas Products 1944. Sound used condition, the belt hook has been bent a bit from use, but still operable, eyelets are all sound.
