Original era manufacture. GI issue winter boots, oiled leather uppers with rubber covered lowers and soles. Boston QM Depot marked, size 8 and dated 1945. The boots show normal age and use but no damage. In his book "Up Front", Bill Mauldin writes of the difficulties front line troops had in getting these warm, waterproof boots during the cold and wet Italian Winter. He writes that the rear area troops apparently had no problem getting them.
