Original era manufacture. A well used example with a period replaced hard rubber grip. The blade retains its proper shape with clear Imperial markings, lightly sharpened at one time, with scattered areas of staining and pitting to the surface. The grip is of hard, black rubber with a leather spacer at top and bottom, presumably replaced after manufacture. Ordnance bomb proof on the pommel. Standard last pattern M8 scabbard which displays a post production GI OD overpaint to the plastic scabbard body. An interesting variant.
