Original era manufacture. A very clean example of a hybrid fighting knife produced during the WWII era. Basically an M3 blade & grip with an M4 guard with muzzle ring. There is no locking mechanisim in the pommel but cut-outs for the press points are inset into the bakelite grip section. Standard, stacked leather grip but in black. The makers name of Imperial has been ground away leaving just traces visible. Little of the parkerized finish remains on the blade, but is clean overall. Lightly and correctly sharpened cutting edge with a sharp point. Commercial grade black leather scabbard which is stitched and riveted. Sound knife which shows typical age and wear.
