Varnished exterior, with clear markings on the butt plate.Mr. Boyd was for many years an active member of Tempe VFW Post 2, carrying this rifle as a member of the color guard during parades and ceremonies.Purchased from the family of Mr. G.A.Boyd, who served with the 11th ABN during WWII.
