Original era manufacture. Manufactured by Oneida Ltd, one of 235,000 bayonets produced, originally with a 16 inch blade, cut-down to a 10 inch blade during WWII by Utica Cutlery, and so marked on the reverse ricasso, U.C.-MOD. Spearpoint tip slightly blunted, parkerized finish with clear markings on each side of the ricasso. Finish wear to the high points of the blade. Mix of original finish and steel patina on the guard and pommel, with black plastic grips showing normal age and wear. Original scabbard with a GI OD overpaint.
