Original era manufacture. A slot brooch, Army Good Conduct Medal, engraved onto the reverse, Vernon E. Longstreth, a soldier from Iowa. Doing a bit of research on Ancestry.com, we find him serving with a number of units during WWII, to include the 16th Air Cargo Resupply Squadron, 1st Cavalry Division and 129th Infantry Regiment.He was born in 1912 in Muscatine Iowa, entering the service in April of 1942, and receiving his discharge in December of 1945, after serving 30 months overseas. Light age and wear.
