Original era manufacture. Slot brooch Soldiers Medal named on the reverse to the recipient. Included is its original case, three place ribbon bar and single Soldiers Medal bar. Included at the time of our purchase was this unnamed cased slot brooch Bronze Star with a Good Conduct Medal and Presidential Unit Citation badge. Several period snapshots were also included, one bearing the same name as on the Soldiers Medal on its reverse. A friend provided some basic information about this soldier winning his Soldiers Medal, the complete citation was published in the September 1944 edition of the Field Artillery Journal.
