Original era manufacture. US Navy marked Pal manufactured Mk1 utility knife, polished steel blade exhibiting honest wear and use, but remaining quite presentable.The guard has been trimmed down on one side, the grip has been removed and replaced with staghorn, bound with copper wire at the center, and a naval button mounted into the pommel.Simple brown leather sheath, with the body of the sheath stitched with copper wire. The pommel strap was removed and looks to have had at one time a rawhide tie installed.The letters LH have been deeply carved into the leather.
