Original period manufacture. Parkerized finished blade with makers name on one side of the ricasso, and U.S.NAVY on the other. Stacked leather grip with red spacers at top and bottom. Grip is tight, with no missing or cracked segments, just normal service  wear and tear.Thick pommel disc with a circular tang. The blade shows evidence of period service sharpening and the point is still sharp.Sound brown leather scabbard of riveted and sewn construction, U.S.N. stamped into the throat.  Normal age and wear, the pommel strap is intact.
