Original era manufacture. US WWII Navyy dog tag for Billy Jean Cobb.T-7/43-P. Born in 1924, he served aboard the USS President Hayes, an attack transport (APA-20) from November 1943 to January 1945.During his time aboard the President Hayes, he would have witnessed the invasion of Guam, with his ship assisting in the rescue of the survivors of the explosion of the ammunition ship USS Mount Hood on 10 November 1944, when moored at Seeadler Harbor New Guinea.
