Original era manufacture. This very well made, rather ostentatious looking fighting knife has a 7 inch, highly polished aluminum metal blade. A very ornate brass guard, with two rows of 7 projections on the knuckle bow.The formed grip is made of aircraft Plexiglas with aluminum dividers, with a pointed aluminum pommel. Simple leather sheath of riveted and sewn construction, with a leg tie at the pommel, and M1910 belt hook at the top. It is named in two places, BRIG MAGRATH, so good possibility for research.Certainly made for show, not for go; perhaps a gift for a high-ranking officer. These are original WWII collector items, made by, or for soldiers fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters during the war; sold as collector items only. The possession of these knives in some states/countries is prohibited. You must know the laws in your locality, state or country prior to ordering.
