Original era manufacture. Little definitive information exists regarding these interesting WWII combat knives. Fitted with a simple rubber tube grip, and a stamped steel guard with four domed protrusions. The blade is a cut-down 45-70 bayonet, no scabbard.Supposedly produced for supplying Philippineguerrillas during WWII fighting the Japanese occupation; hence the drop knife moniker.
