Original era manufacture. US WWII, USMC issue hbt P1941 utility jacket in clean condition, with stenciled Corporal chevron on each sleeve, clear EGA and USMC on the upper left pocket. Non-magnetic darkened brass USMC buttons throughout, overall very clean, strong colors and in a size 40 regular. Stenciled in several  places on the coat is the name W.A, or Wm. A. Schmidt. Doing a quick check on Ancestry, reveals a man with that name entering the Marines in October 1943 and serving at least up into the early 1950's. In 1944 assigned to Marine Fighting Squadron 314, and during the Korean War aboard the USS Philippine Sea.
