Original era publication. A professionally printed 7x5 inch paper 48 star flag. On its reverse is a type written plea which reads; "NOTICE, IF OPENED FOR INSPECTION PLEASE LEAVE ALL CONTENTS AS WERE! ALL OF THIS WAS LEGALLY ACQUIRED SO PLEASE DON'T TAMPER JOE. Thanks, AN ETO VET. Inspected by an officer and approved.Mail theft of WWII mail home souvenirs was a real problem during WWII, my Uncle lost some from pilfering. This was one GI's ploy to appeal to the better instincts of his comrades. Light wear and use.
