Original era manufacture. Cotton embroidered cut-edge patch which does not fluoresce under a UV light. Nice toned look to the cloth. After the disaster of the Pearl Harbor attack on 7 December 1941, the Pearl Harbor Navy Yard really "Turned-To" (my Dad, an old Navy man, used that term often, when wanting us kids to get up and get to work); faced with a herculean task of salvaging as many ships as possible from the scattered wrecks in the harbor. Most of the stricken ships were salvaged, and return to service to see further combat in the Pacific War.
