Original era publication. A sound example named on the cover to Loe, Jr. Claude M. service number 19092724. A Fold3 listing shows Army Air Corps 2nd Lt. Claude M. Loe Jr. , as being interred in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on 18 April 1951, with a date of death given as 28 July 1944. Lt. Loe was a passenger aboard a B-25 Mitchell bomber, which was enroute from Nadzab airfield bound for Biak Island. The aircraft was never seen again, the wreckage was found 12 miles NW of Nadzab, and the remains of the passengers and crew were buried in a common grave at Jefferson Barracks. His photo is available on Find A Grave.
