Original era manufacture. This presents a terrific example of a US Navy pilot's flight scarf, made from a section of Navy marked parachute silk. The scarf measures 50 inches in length, and displays a number of period inkstamps and stenciling. The parachute has a date stamp which looks to be Mar. 14 1938 or 1939, and the owners name is also stenciled, T.P. WILSON.The scarf exhibits typical age and wear, but no holes or tears. Good research potential with the name.
