Original era manufacture. A sterling marked trouser buckle, marked on the obverse, For Service, USS Gen. W.P. Richardson, AP-118.AP-118 was a US Army Troop Ship, commissioned in late 1944, and served in the European Theater until the end of the war. Postwar she served as a commercial cruise ship for many years until scrapped in 2005.The buckle measures 45 x 37 mm, nice silver patina finish.
