Original era manufacture. US Navy Mk1 Utility Knife by Robeson, 5 1/8 inch polished steel blade, with a bright finish; exhibiting sharpening to the edge, with no corrosion pitting.Smooth finish, stacked leather grip with black-white-red-black, segments at top and bottom. Wood pommel, which is intact, and a previous owner carved a U-shaped groove in the surface for identification.Brown leather sheath, marked USN at the throat, with riveted and sewn edging; the pommel strap is intact, but weak and missing a tip on one side. Overall typical wear and use.
