Original era manufacture. This is a very interesting lot consisting of 30 bw photos and several publications pertaining to the Attack Transport USS Calvert (APA-32). Several of the photos are identified and dated as Roi Island February 3 1944, 48 hours after the invasion of that island which formed part of the Kwajalein Atoll. The photos show the devastation of the Marine attack with very graphic depictions of destroyed Japanese aircraft and dead soldiers. Several of the photos are marked on the back "taken from Jap". The USS Calvert took part in the invasion of Kwajalein and subsequent landings during the Pacific War. Excellent detail.
