Original era manufacture. Double sided printed camouflage cover with slits for branches and leaves sewn into the body of the cover. This cover has seen significant service use, scattered tears and stains, some repaired, most not. On the front of the cover is a very faintly painted set of Captains bars in white, with a matching horizontal stripe on the reverse running up the seam. On the left side, written in rather blurred letters is what we believe to be the owners name "KANE". We see no evidence of a Korean War EGA stencil on either side of the cover. Wherever this Marine was in WWII, he was in the middle of it, judging from the condition of his helmet cover.
