Original era manufacture. This is an interesting knife which utilizes a 7.75 inch section of a bayonet blade, perhaps from a 30-40 Krag. The first 3 inches of the top edge have a hand-cut saw edge design.Simple cast aluminum grip with four finger holes, cast directly onto the tang of the knife. Near full length leather sheath of riveted and sewn construction. When the knife is inserted the sheath covers all but the last inch. Typical age and wear.  These are original WWII collector items, made by, or for soldiers fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters during the war; sold as collector items only.The possession of these knives in some states/countries is prohibited.
