Original era manufacture. Made by Comet Metal Products Co. during WWII as a ship recognition aid, this set depicting the German Kriegsmarine, scale 1 inch to 110 feet. Fourteen ships are present, with one empty slot. The ship models include the following Nurnberg, Leipzig, Koeln, Admiral Hipper, Lutzow, Prinz Eugen, Admiral Scheer, Tirpitz, Gneisenau, Scharnhorst, plus 3 German Destroyers. The missing ship was the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. All of the ships appear to be complete with all guns and turrets, the Geneisenau's superstructure is loose. In the original wooden transport chest with rope handles. Figures out to be just over $35 each.
