Original era manufacture. Printed leaflet of a type often fired from specially fitted artillery projectiles. In this instance, the leaflet was intended for the besieged German troops in the ancient French fortress of Metz, by the US Third Army commanded by General Patton. The stubborn defense offered by the German troops lasted until December 13 1944 when the last Metz Fort, Jeanne d'Arc surrendered.
