Original era manufacture. Front seam, reflective edge helmet with original sewn, light OD chinstraps with blackened steel fittings. The helmet's exterior shows a post factory finish in a darker, semi-gloss OD paint. Original WWII Firestone liner with a dark OD overpaint, with light OD suspension, original sweatband, period net and leather chinstrap with a green adjusting buckle. We haven't removed the liner completely so as to not disturb the leather liner strap as its surface is dry and cracking. The net is likely collector applied but looks good and overall the helmet displays very well.
