Original period manufacture. I purchased this section of the teak decking from the WWII US Submarine Pintado, when stopping at the Admiral Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg Texas, traveling home from the MAX Show around 1989 or 1990. It measures just under 8 inches in length with an engraved plaque on one side. The conning tower of the Pintado is on display at the museum. During the war she conducted 6 war patrols in the Pacific, and was credited with 8 ships sunk, and rescuing the entire crew of the B-29 "City of Galveston", which was damaged during a raid on Japan.
