Original era manufacture. Classic WWII T-Handle shovel in original paint with a normal amount of surface wear from storage and handling. U.S. proofed on the shank of the blade and wooden handle as well as Ames 1943 stamped into the steel.Light OD canvas cover with darker OD trim in near new condition, likely was never used. U.S. stencil on the front, and the reverse is G&R  CO. 1943. Light surface corrosion on the buckle and strap tab.
