Original era manufacture. To my recollection, this is the first maker marked, non-Ames production shovel we have ever offered.Clearly stamped on the blade shaft, U.S. I.G.&D-45, and on the opposite side, what looks to be A43.Postwar repaint to the shovel's surface, T-portion of the handle is a little loose. The blade is clean and free of any corrosion pitting.B.B.S. Co. 1942 marked light OD cover displaying service wear and use.
