Original era manufacture. A very interesting knife, using a modified Collins number 128 machete blade. The blade has been cut down to a 10.25 inch length with a peppered finish to the steel. Heavy canvas wrapped steel guard, with a cord wrapped grip, black painted steel pommel. Heavy leather sheath of riveted and sewn construction. This one really speaks US Navy to me.These are original WWII collector items, made by, or for soldiers fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters during the war; sold as collector items only. The possession of these knives in some states/countries is prohibited. You must know the laws in your locality, state or country prior to ordering.
