Original era manufacture. A theater made fighting knife, using the grip froman Italian Fascist dagger. Eagle headed brass pommel, with four brass finger holes, open grip with the blade tang visible. Single edged polished steel blade with a slightly clipped point, measuring just under 8.24 inches in length.Rather crudely made original leather sheath, which is hand inscribed in a number of places; Italy, USAF, 1945, some being difficult to read. These are original WWII collector items, made by, or for soldiers fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters during the war; sold as collector items only.The possession ofthese knives in some states/countries is prohibited.
