Original era manufacture. A very well made trench art ashtray set, consisting of a black phenolic base trimmed in brass, supported by four .45 pistol rounds. The upper portion has what looks to be a 37mm casing for the ash receptacles flanked by four .45 caliber rifle rounds and two square brass containers for box matches. This may predate WWI as those four rifle rounds look pretty vintage. Dark brass patina overall.  Measures 7x4x5.5 inches.
