Original era manufacture. A handmade dagger with a plexiglas grip, brass pommel and guard. The five inch polished steel blade is engraved on each side, listing the ports of call visited by a US serviceman (likely a sailor) during WWII.On one side the following; San Francisco, San Pedro, Long Beach, Seattle, Pearl Harbor, Marshalls, Bougainville, Guadalcanal, Finchhafen, Hollandia, Espirito Santo, Noumea and Tacloban.On the other side; New York, Norfolk, Marseille, Gibraltar, Port Said, Suez, Colombo, Trimcomalee, Calcuta, Melbourne, Fremantle.Quite the world tour!
