Original era publication.HB, Army & Navy Publishing 1946, about 200 pages of illustrations, photos and text, with a roster by state of the men who served in the battalion 1943-1945.Detachments of the battalionserved with the Marines at Peleliu and Iwo Jima, with the entire battalion ending the war stationed on the island of Iwo Jima, 13 of their number being killed in the war, with an additional 17 being wounded.In addition to the unit history, the sailors dog tags, WWII Victory and American Campaign medal are included, his Navy discharge, and a small copy of his separation notice showing his service with the battalion. A nice lot with excellent research potential.
