Original era manufacture. A very sound example of the WWII US Navy fencing bayonet, black plastic blade, guard and combined grip-pommel. These are rather lethal for fencing, and normally encountered with broken guards and numerous nicks and chips in the blade.This example is very clean for this pattern of bayonet, everything is where it should be, and nothing is where it shouldn't be, save for one small chip in the cutting edge.Comes with an interesting variant scabbard, being of two color OD canvas, the center portion of painted fabric, with light OD edging. Slightly torn at the throat.
