Original era manufacture. Standard pattern design US Navy Mk2 utility knife by Ka-Bar, with most of the original finish remaining on the surface. Original finish to the maker marked guard and a matching finish on the circular pommel with rectangular guard. Very clean stacked leather grip without any cracks or missing segments.Gray plastic scabbard with a gray canvas belt loop showing normal service wear and use. WWII USN Dogtag attached to the bottom of the scabbard, with a July 3 1944 Tetanus inoculation date. Ancestry shows his enlistment date in the Navy to be May 2nd 1944.
