Original period manufacture. Black cotton embroidery on white cotton twill, with a cheesecloth covered reverse. It does not fluoresce under a UV light.Worn by US Navy PT boat crews prior to 1943 when the letters PT were adopted as the official insignia. The crews preferred this pattern emblem rather than the rather plain PT letters.
