US WWII US Navy Officer Gray Wool Top Visor Hat, Identified

Original era manufacture. A good quality private purchase hat with a gray wool top and blue wool band. Affixed to the front of the hat is a two-piece regulation US Navy officers hat insignia, which has a nice silver toned eagle. I have not removed the eagle to check and see if it is sterling marked. Regulation U.S. Navy Cap label inside along with identification of the officer who wore the hat. Hat is in very sound condition, exhibiting typical service wear and use. Should be a fun research project.
