Original period manufacture. Enameled badge with a pinback reverse, NS Meyer marked. Please note, the obverse is not chipped next to the dove's head, it is a depression in the enamel, which photographed in an odd way. Formed in 1921, it was stationed prior to WWII at the army artillery school at Fort Sill. Sent to Europe, it flew it's first operational mission during the Normandy Invasion, 6 June 1944.
