Original period manufacture. Cotton embroidered design with a white linen reverse. Stitch marks around the edges from being worn on a flight jacket. The patch measures 4.25 x 5 inches, exhibiting staining from wear and use. The design depicts a machine gun equipped, wingedpanther stamping out the fires of hell. The 832nd Bomb Squadron formed part of the 486th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force,flying B-24's, and later B-17's out of England.
