Original period manufacture.A regulation platoon-size guidon of worsted wool with individually sewn Air Corps emblem and letters. The hoist is sleeved for a pole, with a leathermounting tab on each end. There is a white cotton nomenclature tab on the bottom side but I do not see any writing visible.There are some scattered snags and small moth bits, with the largest hole visible in the second photograph. The 742nd Bomb Squadron was a B-24 unit, serving with the 15th Air Force in Italy.
