Original period manufacture. Original paint finish to the shell, simple light OD canvas liner.  Light OD canvas adjustable chinstrap. The exterior displays typical age and wear, with some corrosion staining to the helmet body, and some finish lifting and surface corrosion on the right side ear covering. Online sources state slightly over 200,000 of this pattern helmet were produced in 1942-1943.
