Original period manufacture. Original felt paint finish to the shell, simple light OD canvas liner, with a leather browband. Brown leather adjustable chinstrap. The exterior displays typical age and wear, with some very lightstaining to the helmet body from storage, but with no finish loss or pitting.Online sources state slightly over 200,000 of this pattern helmet were produced in 1942-1943.
