Original era manufacture. A nice lot of items pertaining to the service of S/Sgt Luverne R. Bache, air gunner, 20th Bomb Squadron, 2nd Bomb Group, 15th Air Force.The lot includes a large format certificate of valor, presented to Sgt Bache for participating in 35 combat missions in the Mediterranean theater. Sterling marked, clutch-back air gunner wings, Combat Crew Training School ID card, a printed history of the 2nd Bomb Group printed in Italy, 3 WWII era USAAF shoulder sleeve insignia, and an original bw photo of an air crewman in full flight gear, written on the reverse is 1943, 52 missions. The photo may not be of Bache, perhaps a friend, or perhaps collector added to enhance the display.
