Original era manufacture. Large pattern folding knife & saw-blade, which formed part of the survival kits on US aircraft during WWII.This example was made by United G.R. (Grand Rapids) MICH, and bears the makers markings on the side of the blade. Unbroken black plastic, grips free of cracks or chips, displaying typical bumping and marring from use. The metal surfaces have been chrome plated for some reason, perhaps as a prevention against moisture corrosion. This plating is wearing thin in areas, but overall is sound. Comes with a thin, dark OD cotton belt pouch which is marked U.S.N.
