Original period manufacture. A nice conditioned 2nd pattern USMC crossover canteen cover with the drainhole in its bottom.  Strong colors, no holes or tears, without a lining, correct for USMC issue covers.1945 dated aluminum bodied canteen with black plastic cap, chain and cork washer. Typical denting to the body, no cup.
