Original era manufacture Massive bolo style blade, the blade is bright with just the letters U.S.M.C. without a makers name. Light staining and freckling to the blade surface with some very shallow nicks or bumps in the cutting edge. Wooden slab grips secured with four brass rivets. There are two chips in the wood grips, one on each side. Dark brown leather scabbard with a makers mark and date on the reverse.
